- I am looking forward to my Blizzard 1230-IV ordered a few days ago,
- but I have a question. It has often been posted that the 1230-IV is
- somewhat of a hot chilli. Moreover, everybody keeps saying that the
- A1200 is wimpy when it comes to powering multiple expansions. My
- questions are:
-
- Is the standard ventilation of the A1200 Magic HD (with 170 MB HD)
- good enough to support a Blizzard 1230-IV with FPU, 8 MB and SCSI?
-
- Is an additional power supply needed, or is the standard equipment
- good enough for this (and an external 1,76 MB HD-drive)?
-
- Please help. I would hate to have to modify my off-the-shelf A1200
- beyond necessity, but I have no intention of roasting it either.
